And they&#8217;re frustrated because they feel that advertising is pointless. There are ways that you can tie your communications together into a system that consistently ensures your messages are getting out without spending a ton of money.</p>
<h3> Look At Voice Mail As An Example</h3>

<p>Do you maximize the ability of that tool to drive traffic to your website?</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t have a website?</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t have a website you can put an offer into your voicemail. Say something like:</p>
<p>&#8220;<em>Did you realize that around 80% of all sales are made after the 7th contact &#8211; Ask me how to automatically stay in touch with all your prospects to boost your sales</em>&#8221; Or any other interest-generating factoid about your line of business.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll be surprised at the response you get  - and even that it generates business from among your personal friends because it helps them to think about what you do professionally in a non-threatening manner.</p>

<p><strong>Poor Thinking</strong></p>
<p>Poor thinking or &#8216;mental laziness&#8217; are 2 of the biggest culprits that ruin success of more people on the face of the earth and keep them locked into mediocrity. It wasn&#8217;t meant to be that way and it shouldn&#8217;t. Reading about other peoples success and hoping that one day you too will get there isn&#8217;t enough and is not going to move you one step ahead.</p>
<h3>&#8216;Playing Safe&#8217; Doesn&#8217;t Work Either</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m wearing my coaching hat now so be warned, I&#8217;m extremely frank when I&#8217;m in this mode because I see so much potential being wasted because people fail to realize their true value. How much is your time really worth? If you started thinking in terms of dollars you&#8217;ve got to have a mindset shift because your time is more valuable than anyone can ever pay you. Your time is worth the memories and feelings that you create when you&#8217;re spending quality time with the ones that matter to you in life&#8230;when you are doing the things that matter to you in life &#8211; Sure &#8216;dollars&#8217; matter, but you and I both know that &#8216;dollars&#8217; isn&#8217;t the correct answer. You want to be able to do the things that dollars will allow you to do.</p>
<h3>Get Up And Get Going Before It&#8217;s Too Late</h3>
<p>We only  have so much time and even if you&#8217;re blessed with good health, do you really want to spend all that time working in pursuit of &#8216;dollars?&#8217; Start selling BIG TICKET services to your target audience such as coaching programs. This is going to allow you to spend less time doing but earn more. It makes perfect sense doesn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>Shift from small thinking and being over the moon at having a $1,000 sale a month. Aim higher because no one is going to help you aim higher.</p>
<p>Go get a coach, pay for a mentor. I&#8217;m not talking about me because I&#8217;m not taking clients right now, but do yourself a favor and get help. Your dreams are waiting for you</p>

<h3>There is a &#8216;Wrong&#8217; Way and a &#8216;Right&#8217; Way</h3>
<p> </p>
<p>When you create special reports for the offline market you can take one of these 2 approaches:</p>
<ol>
<li>Write it as if you are speaking to fellow Offline Marketers who &#8216;get it&#8217;</li>
<li>Write like you&#8217;re considering the &#8216;lowest common denominator&#8217; in your target market</li>
</ol>
<p><strong><em>Write it as if you are speaking to fellow Offline Marketers who &#8216;get it&#8217;</em></strong></p>
<p>Creating special reports that you can use for lead generation and business building purposes is quite simple when you understand who you are writing for. You&#8217;re NOT writing for your fellow IM buddies and if you write like you&#8217;re talking to someone who &#8216;gets it&#8217; your special report will hit the mark so far that you might have been writing with a blindfold on!</p>
<p><strong><em>Write like you&#8217;re considering the &#8216;lowest common denominator&#8217; in your target market</em></strong></p>
<p>When you write like you&#8217;re considering the least knowledgeable person you could possibly speak with in your target market you&#8217;ll never go wrong. This is the reason why I write the special reports that I offer to my local business people as if to say I&#8217;m explaining things to them in the understanding that they don&#8217;t &#8216;get it&#8217; &#8230; yet at least.</p>
<p>Sure, some of them do already have a level of understanding of what we do, but just like the number of people who are successful Offline Marketers, they too are in the minority.</p>
<p> </p>
<h3>&#8220;<em>Your Report Contains Fluff!</em>&#8220;</h3>
<p> </p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be honest with you and say that I do occasionally I get an email from someone how purchased one of my lead generation reports to say that they felt it was &#8220;fluff&#8221; and that the message could have been delivered in fewer words. You know what, they&#8217;re probably right but here&#8217;s what they&#8217;re missing.</p>
<p>When the reader is going through your lead generation report, YOU are NOT there with them to answer any questions. The information product that they have with them has to do a huge job or you&#8217;re history.</p>
<ul>
<li>It has to reach out to them in a way that <strong>connects</strong></li>
<li>It has <strong>to flow</strong> just as if you&#8217;re right there talking to them</li>
<li>It has to <strong>generate enough interest</strong> for them to want to meet with you</li>
<li>It has to be <strong>an extension of how you communicate</strong> so that when they decide to meet with you they already have a &#8216;feel&#8217; for you and your personality</li>
<li>It has to <strong>sell without selling</strong></li>
<li>It has to <strong>start building your credibility</strong></li>
<li>It has to <strong>separate you</strong> from the crowd and your competition</li>
<li>It has to help you <strong>start establishing your credibility</strong> </li>
</ul>
<p>From my years of experience in creating high converting lead generation products in the professional services world I know what works. The winning formula is what I use and teach in my offline world. So when I see someone comment that a report is &#8216;fluff&#8217; it makes me sad that they just don&#8217;t &#8216;get it&#8217;</p>

It&#8217;s even tougher than you standing in front of a prospect or existing customer/client and trying to persuade them to do business with you.
